In my bathroom the copper stub out is connected to a plastic fitting which has a braided supply line fixed to it. Where the shut-off knob would normally be there is a circular piece of plastic which turns freely. Is this some type of quick connect fitting?

I think I have a leak at the copper-PVC union. How do you repair this?

This is a nylon angle stop. The "circular piece of plastic" is a handle and if you tighten the screw it should work. The copper stub-out has a 1/2" male adapter soldered on the end. The angle stop simply threads on. If you have a leak shut the water off and give it another turn. If It were in my house I would replace it with a female threaded brass angle stop. Don't forget to teflon the threads if you decide to change it out. Good luck, Tom

This is not a threaded nylon stop. It is a push to connect with a push/pull button to turn water on and off.

I have the same valve. I want to know from someone who has knowledge, can you fix the push button without having to replace the whole valve? I push it in but it shuts right off. Like the push button is woren out or something. Just wanted to know can you just replace that or do I have to tighten up the screw more?
