Okay so my husband and I have sex regularly & we're not actively, trying to have a baby BUT if it happens... it happens. My periods aren't normal to the fact that they come & go on the same days every month but I'd say they're more regular than irregular. Meaning, I have it right around the same time every single month. The first day of my last period was December 27, 2009. Lasted 5 days (as usual) therefore ending on December 31, 2009. Yesterday, January 9, 2010 we had completely unprotected sex for the first time. Then we did the same thing, again last night. These were the first times we have not used a condom. Anyway, we did it one more time this morning, January 10, 2010. Keep in mind, I'm about half way from my last period to my next one. I assume I'm ovulating. What are the odds that I'm pregnant? I can't wait till my next period arrives (or should I arrive). Please offer any advice.

Ovulation occurs a little later in the cycle, about 14 or 15 days. However, there is still a chance that your egg MIGHT have released. Keep in mind sperm have a life-span up to 72 hours. So three days from now you have a possibility of conceiving, if you have yet to ovulate. You can get pregnant at ANY time during your cycle, if it hasn't happened, then do not take the chance thinking you are already pregnant and continue to not use a type of contraceptive. In 2 weeks get an early pregnancy test to make sure. No matter the results, use a form of birth control. If positive, make a follow up apointment with your doctor, just to make sure. :) Good luck!
