For starters I have a 5 yr old daughter! In August I had a miscarriage every test said I wasn't pregnant. Well September 28 I spotted for 3 days very light. Well I started having every pregnancy symptom there is but a hpt said negative. I was having some lower back pains and some slight cramps so I called my OBGYN they said to wait 2 weeks and take another hpt. If I started hurting or bleeding really bad to go the ER. Well then I started having some brownish-Pinkish discharge I called the dr back they said the same thing wait 2 weeks and take another test! So is there a possible chance that I'm pregnant?I was 16 when I had my daughter and I had a really easy pregnancy no sickness or nothing else so I really wouldn't know what to look for now! Thank You Very Much.

They said 70% of women have some kind of spotting or blood during their pregnancy. I never had this and I'm pregnant with my 3rd. Unfortunately at the beginning of pregnancy it's a waiting game. But I think if you are really concerned I'd call the doctor back and see if there is anyway they can do a blood test. I've heard that blood test show up more quick then HPT. I was almost 7 1/2 weeks this time before a home pregnancy test was positive. Sorry I'm not too much help, good luck!

Yes, the blood test is more sensitive than home tests. Generally, a + home test is most likely a true +, whereas a - might be just that the concentration of hormone isn't high enough yet to be detected. If you can't wait, request a blood test. Otherwise act as if you are (multivitamin w folic acid, etc) and wait it out.
