I recently installed a set of front and rear shock absorbers on my 1999
Dodge Ram truck, but I failed to "prime" the shocks before installing. Does anyone know if this will hurt anything? I was hopeful that the shocks would eventually "prime" themselves after I drove the truck for awhile, but I do not know that for certain?

"Prime" the shocks? I've never heard of that.
What brand and model are your new shocks? And what gives you the idea that they need "primed"?
Does the truck ride poorly since replacement?

It doesn't ride quite as well as I'd hoped, but it doesn't ride badly. And all I put on was light duty shocks. I read something off the internet that said to "prime" the shocks, which was defined as "pumping them several times before installing". But if you have never heard of it, I'll bet there is nothing to it. It seems like after about three or four drives, they would be "pumped several times" anyway. Thanks for your help. The simple fact that you have not heard of it has helped me.
