Hi Commish...

Believe it or not, the first thing I would recommend is that you actually KICK the piping coming out of the unit. Yup! Kick the pipe, but do it easily... idea is to create a slight movement... may cause whatever is hanging up to release... maybe.

If that fails to work I would suggest that you shut off the power supply and then remove the rubber seals at the top of the ejector pit... like the one that surrounds the cord... and take a flashlight and look in to see if you can see anything that is hanging up on the float mechanism. It could be that you can take a metal coat hanger and configure it so you can reach in through the hole(s) and move whatever it is that is causing your issue.

Otherwise, looks like you need to shut the power supply off and remove the lid to the ejector pit. Once the pit is opened you should find something messin' with the float mechanism. Remove it and try again

If you find nothing obvious with the float mechanism it could be that the float mechanism itself needs to be replaced. If you have a "PILL" shaped float, you can probably just replace the float mechanism (has separate plug from the pump). If the float mechanism is integral to the pump then the pump will probably need to be replaced.

Open the windows... see what you find! If you introduce some bleach to the tank before opening it should help cut down on the odor from opening the pit.

Lastly, if you open the pit you will need to reseal the pit 100% back to original condition. You may be best to purchase a new seal kit from a local plumbing supply house. Just FYI!

Anyway, there's a start for you. Let me know if you have questions...
