View Full Version : Can I amend a 1099 from previous years if errors were made?

I made an accounting error and under reported income to contractors on 1099's issued for 2008 taxes. Can I send corrected 1099's to contractors and the IRS for previous years?

Yes.
The contractors must then file amended tax returns.
