There is no tax on inheritances. You do not file any form so no proof is required unless there is a question by IRS. You may have to file Form 3520 if the amount coming to the U.S. exceeds $100,000. Your U.S. Tax Return: Tax on Inheritances (http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/02/tax-on-inheritances.html)

Thank you for your reply, very helpful.
Do you know the paper work I need FROM the foreign country to justify the origin of the money? I think death certificate may be one, any other?
Thanks again. Quilmes
