I see so many people furiously (and at all hours of the night and day) diligently helping people. I believe this is part of human nature, but in case I was a little too dreamy in my assumptions, I thought I'd ask... so what is it the gets you excited about answering random peoples questions?

Here are my reasons:

-Sometimes I like telling people what to do
-I like expressing my opinion
-When I'm lucky and my advice is great and the poster sends me a personal message later down the road thanking me for all the help I feel like a million bucks
-No matter what kind of day I have, when I go on here I see that my life isn't so bad after reading a couple threads.


Those are just a few reasons.

There have been many times here, where the sharing with someone else has made a difference in their life as well as mine. That's what really "makes it" for me!

Other than that, I'm a people person who likes to answer questions and get to know others. I also just use the site to relax.

Some people watch T.V. Some people collect things. (I do too!) Some people spend time on the Internet helping people, placing ads, formatting websites, etc.

I've also learned a great deal on this site about myself and things that I don't know that much about.

Also, I enjoy communicating and sharing with other people from around the world.

There are some really smart and intelligent people on this site! Plus, it's extremely well moderated. Much more so than a lot of other sites that are similar.

I have always felt that the one gift I was given in life is that I am truly compassionate.I really care about people and have always been the one that people come to with problems.I listen well and always have an opinion.Much to some peoples dismay :)

I have also experienced quite a bit in my life and if I can spare someone the pain I suffered by advising them,I feel good about that.

I am the person who helps the sick neighbor,who looks out for the kids getting off the school bus,etc.
I was raised to always lend a hand whenever possible.

I am unable to work right now and I use the internet to do the good works that I was meant to do.I also work on line at other sites for equality,animal rights,civil rights,the environment,etc.

I also love the sense of community here and I have met some fantastic people who I am proud to call friends and it feels very warm and welcoming to me.

Sometimes all someone needs to make them feel better is to know someone is out there who is reaching out to them as a human being and truly caring about them.

Why are you unable to work now, artlady? I hope that you don't mind my asking that question.
