My heat pump runs continually inside in heat mode but the fan motor outside won't run. If I make it cooler in the house (65 or so) it will run properly. If the a/c is on and I lower it to 70 inside the outside motor won't work again but the compressor unit runs. Have already replaced fan motor twice. It is a Nordyne split pump.

If the compressor outside is running in the heat pump mode then the fan should also be running.
