Bryant 310 aav error code 31. My furnace is 3 yr old and gives error code: 31. The blower fan working fine, but the inducer motor does not start. Also the error code tells the pressure switch open not closed.

Will this be a problem with Inducer motor? What are the various things I need to check to determine faulty inducer motor? How much does it cost to replace the inducer motor?

Code 31 is a pressure issue. Try disconnecting the small hose and check for any moisture that might come out. Make sure hose is not restricted or cracked.

You could have a restricted or iced over exhaust pipe that carries the spent gas and byproducts of combustion outside. Check it. You can temporary remove the exhaust from the furnace and see if it runs. If it runs then the exhaust pipe is the problem. NOTE this is for test purposes only just to see if the furnace runs. Reattach after the test or the gas can kill you.
