This guy and I nearly dated last year, we went to football games together, met up between classes, but he said that it was only a crush after I had asked one of his friends to ask if he still liked me, and he said no. we had fought the day before because he completely ditched me for his friend and acted as if he didn't know me. He started acting a little weird. Then the day after he was complementing me and still flirting, and then he started being mean, and I moved desks to across the room. I tried texting him but he would never respond. He woulnd't even talk to me in class. He didn't make eye contact or anything. Now I am put into his history class, it is a whole year later! & he started being all nice to me and I started likeing him again, and he was being sweet then one day out of the blue he won't even look at me or talk to me, its as if I'm not there. I texted him three weeks ago before christmas break asking if osmething was wrong because he looked sad in class and he ignored it... I found out he smokes now too :/ I'm so confused I just want to be friends at the least, because he has caused me so much pain in the past. What do I do ? Any advice? Please?

Looks to me like this guy likes stringing you along. It almost seems like he gets a high out of getting attention from you for awhile and after he gets his 'fix' he goes back to ignoring you.

This guy wouldn't even be considered a 'friend' in my book. Any 'ship, be it friendship or relationship, requires both people involved to actively participate.

Why offer your friendship to someone who doesn't want to return it? You deserve better than this!

With friends like him, who needs enemies??
