I keep getting trans codes on my 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4. Code keeps coming up
p1704 manuf. Trans. Could this be related to the overdrive problems they are having or is this more seriouse?

Unfamiliar with that code. Did you try clearing the code with a code reader or scan tool?
