I have an 04 powerstroke 6.0 that I absolutely love. I have added the edge box, methanol posi rear. I bought this truck used from a dealership with less than 30.000 miles. I plow commercially in the winter and truck pull in the summer. It just blew up, thougt it was the head gasket, was using antifreeze but turned out to be oil cooler, egr cooler and turbo. I have heard that there is a kit to overide the egr. I want this!! I have problems a lot when there is no power, or it accelerates on its own, there has been times when it has even stalled. Thank god not when I'm pulling a sled. Any suggestions about the kit to overide the EGR would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Denise

Only use full-synthetic heavy duty diesel oil (HDDO) in a turbo diesel:

With conventional oil, it's only a question of when the turbo will fail. You should be fine, if you use a quality synthetic HDDO. No other mods should be required.
