He states that is when the most fat is being burned because the body is using up the last fat reserves from the natural fast during sleep. This is compared to exercising after eating just to get rid of the calories, which will burn carbs, but not much fat.

Of course, you do not do this if you have diabetes or low blood sugar and will notice a drop in those levels.

There is no easy way, but focus and motivation is the key. Set yourself a goal weight, I followed the weight watchers program and lost 13kg in 8 months. Weight Watchers is a life style we should all be doing, you can still eat your chocolates, cheese, cream etc. but in moderation. Once you start losing weight it spurs you on to keep focused.
