I have three chiuahuahs. I heard them getting into something and when I looked to see what it was, they had gotten into the garbage. I think there was a brownie in my nephews dinner that got thro0wn out that he didn't eat. But I'm not eaxctly sure but I am pretty sure. And all the food from that was completely gone. Its too late in the night to go to a vet or anything plus I'm not even sure what one of them would have ate it, if they even did at all. Will they be OK? Is there anything that I should do for them for now?

If all that was in there was a brownie I'm sure they will be fine.
However if there were any bones or anything dangerous in the trash it would be a different matter.

Just keep a close eye on them, if they start acting lethargic, drooling excessively, vomiting and having trouble pooping then it's time to rush them to the vet.
I have had dogs get into the garbage before and eat some rather questionable things and be absolutely fine, it's just a waiting game unfortunately.

Dogs are designed to eat disgusting things and be OK. Like Shaz said, if there are any strange behaviors or they're not going potty, then take them to the vet...

How is your dog today?
Things like these make me worry about pancreatitis..

All of the dogs seem fine. I was just really worried because I know that they aren't supposed to have chocalate. But I was looking stuff up and seen that a lot of small dogs have had and that it takes a lot to actually harm them. I thought that since they are so small that it wouldn't take a lot at all

I have heard that baking chocolate is what is bad for dogs... Milk chocolate won't hurt them unless consumed in vast quantities...

My dogs seem to all love chocolate except for my pits. My first pointer ate 5 lbs of fresh fudge. Ran in to the grocery store real quick, shuved the fudge under the truck seat, and she still got it. Another dog ate those large bags of Snickers individuals... I think that was 5lbs as well. She ate the wrapper and all on Christmas day while my Grandma came to visit. She was sick for about a day and a half and was definitely wired... To this day, this dog will still drool and beg for a piece of candy.

I also once had a dog chew on a inhaler... We called the vet immediately and he advised us to just let her sleep it out. She stayed in the dark most of the night and half of the morning. That was a scary night...

A brownie will definitely not do anything to a dog... if it does, my dogs should have been dead years ago..

The darker the chocolate the worse it is for them.

In saying that though some dogs can be fine with any chocolate, others can have horrible reactions to a small amount, it depends on the individual dog.

One Easter when I was little our Great Dane eat an entire 1kg (2.2lb) Easter egg and she was fine.
