I need to remove (uninstall) a ge over the range microwave oven; model #
Jmv1630wb 002. Manufactured in oct 99.

If nothing in the Above Cabinet, look at the top corners on the Face of the Micro for phillips screws that go all the way from the front through to the back plate.

There are three large phillips head bolts that I loosened 12 inch and they move about, but the microwave is still in place, although slightly loosened. I have removed the screws holding the bottom plate in place and it swings down, hanging by the bracket on the wall. Not sure how to remove that plate as it appears to act as a way to keep the mocrowave from being removed from the bracket. Is it OK to remove the large Phillips head bolts without the mocrowave dropping onto the stove. I do have two large plastic buckets with tops underneath the microwave so it can only drop an inch, no more.
