Well my question is will fixing my overbite make my lips smaller and bring them flatter against my teeth. My overbite is pretty deep and makes my lips poke out in side profile pictures which I think looks horrible on me. It also make my lips puffy. So I was wondering if it will make my lips smaller and flatter against my teeth and in side profile pictures? I really want my lips to be back to normal like they were when I was younger. Anyone had experience from this? Also what mouth appliances will I need to fix my overbite?

Thanks
Kd

Your lips won't get flatter, but they will look flatter since there will be less pushing out of your lips by your teeth once they are fixed.

Start with your regular dentist who might be able to do the correction himself, or will refer you to a specialist. You might need only braces, or you might need surgery.

One of my former coworkers had an overbite on top and an receding jaw on the bottom. She needed to have a piece of bone surgically added to her lower jawbone from her upper jawbone. Her mouth was wired shut for eight weeks for healing. Today she is a beautiful woman.
