I moved around a lot as a child and bounced around from school to school, with a little home schooling mixed in. I don't know the names of most of the schools I attended (my parents don't remember either) but I am trying to put together a time line of my life, when and where. I need to know where to start. I know the states I lived in and the names of some schools, back to around the 7th grade, but nothing much before. Can anyone direct me to where I might find that information?

Do your parents remember where your family lived? If you know the towns, you should be able to do some research and find out the names of elementary schools. It would be better if your patrents can give you the name of the street, or at the neighborhood, you lived on in each city.

Another thought - perhaps you can call the earliest school that you know of (7th grade) and ask if they have any records of your earlier schooling.

Contact your last elementary or high school, they keep records for at least 70 years.
