Goodman model GDT070-3B
Light blinks 3 times -- the codes indicate the info below.
Pressure switch failure to close -- Venter pressure switch vent blockage.

The small motor starts and then I can hear gas flow (can smell a small amount later) and then it shuts down. There is never a flame.

Help - I am freezing.

What appears to be my ignitor is by the first of 4 flame tubes and looks like a two pronged fork with the prong on the right twice as thick as the one on the right.

Check your discharge vent pipe for something plugging it up. It might be on the exterior of the home as in ice formation or something in the pipe itself. You can on a TEMPORARY basis disconnect the discharge pipe from the furnace and see if it run without it attached. If the furnace operates without it attached you can bet the pipe is restricted or plugged up somewhere.

NOTE!!!!!

YOU CANNOT leave this line disconnected weather it works or not since this line carries poison gas CO outside the home. This disconnect is for testing purposes only. Post back with results and be carefull only test for a short time if it the furnace starts to run normally.

Thank you very much for the response. I disconnected the discharge pipe and I can see the light from outside. There was some white sediment that filtered down but the tube was clear.

I tried to restart the furnace and it did not light, but there was no blinking from the light at all.

At this point testing the ignitor and voltage supplied by the circuit board for the ignitor is in order. It is also a good time to remove the rubber line from the pressure switch and check the hose for blockage or cuts/tears that might stop it from performing its proper function.
