View Full Version : Looking for a thermocouple for coleman presidential III gas furnace

We have a 1986 Casa Villa park model mobile home with a Coleman Presidential III gas furnace uses LP gas, after lighting pilot the furnace may run several hours or even several days then goes out? I have relit the furnace about 3 or 4 times each week looking to buy thermocouple for it

Thermocouples are just about available anywhere local to you. The only thing you need to be aware of is the length. If you get one to long you can leave the unused portion coiled up.
It may not be a thermocouple problem but a restriction in the pilot orifice. This will make the pilot flame to small and eventually the pilot will go out. This entails removing the pilot assemble and cleaning the very small hole called the orifice. Very small spiders and other very little critters build webs in the pilot and that restricts the orifice opening or dirt from the gas can also do this. Whatever you do try not to increase the little orifice hole since then you will have to replace the pilot assembly.
