I had sex before thanksgiving with out a condom, I had a period after that though, but now it's a month later and all I'm getting is light brown discharge, I've looked it up and it said I should take a test I don't know how I could be pregnant since I did have a period before. I'm so worried about this

You had unprotected sex, that's how you could be pregnant.

Take a test anyway, just to be sure. At the very least, it will help rule out pregnancy as a possible cause. When you go to a doctor, which you should do regardless rather or not you take a test and what it says, they'll probably have you take a test anyway.
