Yesterday night the car started fine but this morning I went out to the car and try to start it and it turns over then dies.. jumped it and its not helping...

Ensure plugs and coil are good.

Yes, it sounds like the ignition coil has failed. It's in the distributor and easy to replace.
Just test for spark first. There might be some there, but chances are it's too weak to fire combustion.

When it started warming up again it started fine

Sounds like you need to remove and fully charge or replace the battery. Most auto parts stores will test and charge batteries for free.
