Hi Rmanna:
Something is stuck in under the diapragm or washer assembly which allows the toilet to run non-stop (but slowly). What kind of flushometer are we talking about here? Is the flushometer in the toilet TANK or on top of the toilet tank out in the open?

It is a Rex Valve by Coyne & Delaney Co. I can't quite make out the model # looks like 66P is part of the #. It is out in the open. There is no tank. Thanks for replying.

Not familiar with Rex valve, but if it is like most flushometers you will shut off the water supply via the screw under the cap using a screwdriver (may need to remove the cap first) and then you will remove the top bonnet by unscrewing it with a crescent wrench. Once the top is removed there will be a plastic cap and a diaphragm that is made of neoprene or rubber. Remove the cap and pull up on the diaphragm assembly.
Once you have the diaphragm in your hand you should see a small brass grommet with a teeny tiny hole... clean that hole with a needle. Then replace and see if the hissing has stopped. If not, you will need to purchase a new diaphragm... ;)

Mark,
I will give it a try. You have been a big help.
Thanks
Rmanna
Mark,
It was the diaphram. I had to replace it, it had a rip in it. It is working fine now. Thanks for your help.
