Great resource here guys, and I am in need of help myself. Last night my wife tried to change a lightbulb in our ceiling fan while I was away. She unscrewed the base severing the two wires that went to the downlight portion and kicked the breaker for the room. She's fine, but the inwall remote does not light up when pressing buttons, and needless to say the fan has no functions now either. I assume the receiver is dead in the fan, but could it have gotten wiring or anything all the way back to the remote or wiring in the wall? I just don't understand why the red led on the remote is not lighting up or does it have to complete the signal to the receiver to indicate it as a confirmation. Also, the rest of the room came back online after resetting the breaker, when I got downstairs, the fan was spinning slowly like it just had the power shut off, and the light on the remote worked for like 5 seconds then nothing... any ideas on how bad it can be??
Thanks for the help.
