My gas water heater broke... brown water coming out of every faucet and toilet. We had a new water heater installed, the brown water is gone but my water is still off. What do I do?

You probably have to light the pilot. There are a couple of methods out there. One is the match and the other is piezoelectric.

What is the dial set at? OFF/VACATION/ON? Is the gas shutoff valve open?
