Puppies do tend to sleep a lot. How is she otherwise? Eating, drinking, normal bowel movements?

She should go to the vet anyway for a checkup, especially if she hasn't had any vaccines yet - but I recommend taking any newly acquired pet to your own vet within a day or two of getting him or her, just to get a good clean bill of health.

An 8 week old puppy doesn't need milk, ESPECIALLY if it's cows milk. No dog should.
Call your vet in the morning and get her looked at.

It's Okay - just offer her water and maybe some canned food, and call your vet. At 8 weeks she should be getting vaccines soon anyway, but you want to make sure she's OK. It may just be puppy stress, but you don't want to take chances.

When we get 8 weeks old puppies we give them puppy milk once or twice a day at first plus always leave water out for them.
If they aren't drinking water confidently we splash a small amount of milk in it to encourage them.

Are you feeding the same food as what the breeder was giving her?

Oh and yes, it's perfectly normal for puppies to sleep a LOT.
They sleep for 2 hours, play for half an hour then sleep for another 2 hours.

Shaking can be caused by a lot of things, pain, stress, cold...

Have you only just got her or have you had her for a while?

The shaking could just be due to stress/fear.

Does she have a 'safe place' she can go like a bed or a crate?
