I have a 15 month old german shepherd female dog and 3 days ago she stopped eating every time I put the food out she sniffs it then walks away. Her diet is arden grange dry food mixed with a little fresh chicken or tinned tuna in sping water and a little water,So come the night time when she has not eaten anything all day I give her our food like ham beef whatever I have in the fridge and she eats this no promblem. She is her normal self wanting to play and go for walks,Its just that she was a very greedy dog eating everything a gave her.Do you think I should change her dog food she been on arden grange since she was 8 weeks thanks

So she's eating, just not her regular food? If I knew I was going to get Ham if I held off, I wouldn't eat the dog food either:)

Try some good canned dog food.

It should work for now. My dog doesn't like "new" dry dog food either. But after he realizes that it's all he's going to get... things change.

My dogs don't like dry food full stop.

I have to hide or disguise it to get them to eat it. I have recently switched to (and here come the boo's and hisses) Pedigree Pal. Yep it's not the best food out there but mine absolutely love it and they are quite happy to eat the good quality dry food that is mixed in with it.

You need to stop the table scraps and food from the fridge. That is basically rewarding the dog for not eating it's dinner.

The canned tuna is fine mixed in as is the chicken but it would be a lot cheaper and easier to mix in canned food.

Mine get a tin of sardines in oil mixed through their food once a week to keep their skin healthy.

Got to love that pedigree! I think the reason dogs like Pedigree and beneful is because it tastes like candy... but its food in their bellies!

I would have to agree with the first post... If the dog knows they're going to get something better, they'll wait. Stop with the table scraps and offer her her own food. She'll start eating again... Dogs won't starve themselves.
