[F]I live with boyfriend who is divorced for last 7 years and 2 of his children. Daughter 16 and son 12. 16yr old was home sick from school for 2 days and wanted to go out on Friday night and was denied. Stated she was "going to see mom". That night mom allowed other "friends" of the daughter to come over and drink. Apparently one of the friends passed out and the EMS was called. Not known if the child went to the ER or not. Daughter will not admit who was there and mom covering right along with her. We found out this is not the first time she has given alcohol to daughter. Mom is a stay at home alcoholic. Drinking from sun up to sun down. She is not suppose to drink when having children but she doesn't care. Son is due to go for visitation this weekend and we are denying allowing him to go since we feel this is an unsafe environment. Should we report the mother to Social Service or Child Protective services? Or should we let this be handled by the courts? We are wanting to get visitation revoked for both children however daughter now wants to live with mom since she can do as she pleases there. We are feed up with her not adhering to house rules and thinking and doing as she pleases. At this point of frustration with her overall do we let her go live with the drunk mother or not?

Ok, so why do you want to destroy your daughter life ? You are suppose to be a parent, not her best friend, or even her friend,

If your child wanted to play with rattlesnakes or play with guns would you let them just because they were a pain if they don't.
So you tell the 16 year old no and tell her she is not going to play the two parents against each other. NO is a wonderful word with kids.

Next yes you get child portective service and family court both invovled.
You report her ( the EMS will have a record of who was treated ) and they can look into it.

You go back to court to get all of her visitation revoked or make it be supervised protection.

I would call CPS, and also call the authories and tell them she supplied alcohol to minors. There maybe no way to prove it, since no one will talk. Have to talked to the parents whose child drank too much? Because if I was that parent and someone gave my child acohol. Document everything, and do not send your children there if they are not safe. I would petition the court to get her rights terminated, or to have random tests to see if she is drinking. I think your on the right track.
