We have an unfinished basement, where we would like to paint the floors and walls. We have hired a painter to do the job. But wanted to check if we could use Breakthrough paint made by vanex, to paint the floors. Is it durable? My painter said it is less expensive and easier to paint with. Please advise. Thanks.

I'm not sure what he's comparing it to, but I can say this. We use the basic stuff carried by Lowes/HomeDepot and it holds up wonderfully. We've used it on apartments and at my home and we've never had a complaint.
If he's not marking up the materials cost, then you might compare the cost of the Breakthrough to the basic stuff at Lowes/HD.
