Ok well I bought this projector off one of my friends friends it was stolen. I paid $300 and put an ad online. An undercover officer came over and looked at it. Asked why the serial numbers were scraped off. I told him it was stolen(I think this was a bad move could I have I just said nothing?). I told him the guys name and he found out that he worked there as a cleaner. I told them that I didn't know it was stolen at first but later I knew. He never said I was charged yet. What's your thoughts on this? I gave them the projector as well. I was very helpful.

I think you really screwed up, first you knew it was stolen, you knew where it came from and chose not to return it.
I would say that there is actually a good chance you may even be charged as a partner to the crime, unless the other person testifies you did not know anything about it.
But you knowing all the details, I would say expect a warrant and a officer any time

Yes, not sure why cooperating sounds like a good thing, this is not the ethics board, or the christianity or religion board, this is the legal boards
Cooperating without first talking to an attorney and having a deal in place is normally the worst thing you can do.
Ever admitting a crime without talking to an attorney is the last thing you want to do.
And ever admitting a crime and guilt to someone you don't know is the worst thing you can do.
I would be hanging my head in shame from a legal stand point that I helped the polcie without having an attorney and making sure my own butt was covered.
Yes, they will do their investigation, and then in a month or two most likely come after you with a warrant.
They want to get the other person arrested first, see if they need you to be a witness against them in court, then they will come arrest you to make a deal for you to testify.

God damn it. I'm not going to jail but I will have a record. The cop said probation is my best bet.
