I am being sued by discover card for non payment. I tried to explain to them , I lost my job and could not make minimum payments. They called 7 times a day , sent letters weekly , and would not stop. Now they are trying a default judgement against me. What can I do?

Show up in court, or just don't go to court, they will get a judgement, and depending on where you live, can attach your bank accounts and latter garnish your wages when you get back to work

Yes Fr_Chuck is right and with cc debt if you ignore it it will not go away and will only get worse. They don't care if you lost your job they just want there money Why not try to work out a payment plan? But make sure if you do GET IT IN WRITING AND DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INORFMATION.If you have been ignoring them, then they may not work with you

You got the goods now you have to pay. If you couldn't afford it you shouldn't have bought it. I know, times are tough, people are getting laid off left and right, the fact remains that you have a contract to pay this back and you can't just ignore it.
Credit card companies really don't care if you don't have a job, they just want what's rightfully theirs, can't blame them.
