I have the RD 900 int. The display stopped working. I put in an alkaline 9v and the display shows fine. I'm suspecting the transformer is bad. It's a model #a5724125-1, part # 872901. 24vac@1250MA. Please advise of your thoughts and/or parts info. Bob ***REMOVED NAME AND PHONE NUMBER*** (TKR)

What is "RD 900 int."

Also, posting a phone number on a message board like this is not the best idea.

We know it's a timer of some sort.

24 V @ 1.25A or bigger is an easy find. If the mfr is no help, then DigiKey Corp. | Electronic Components Distributor | United States Home Page (http://www.digikey.com)

, Mouser Electronics - Electronic Component Distributor (http://www.mouser.com)

Or

US - Electronic Components Distributor | Newark.com (http://www.newark.com) are possibilities for new parts.

Might be best to try surplus.

I would not "suspect" the transformer, that's discrimination, I would Test before replacing.
Voltage to primary? fuse?

I edited Bob's original post and removed his last name and phone number.
