I live in CA and own a Florida condo. Due to fraud, there is now a lawsuit commencing regarding the condo and it is now in foreclosure. If the bank gets a judgment from the foreclosure, can they attach my property outside of Florida? Just what assets can the bank attach, or, when they resell the condo, will that satisfy their judgment?

Hello l:

If there's money left owing after the condo is sold, they can and will come after your assets. They CAN seize your bank accounts and garnish your wages. In fact, they can take ANY personal property to satisfy the judgment. No, your rollerblades are safe.

If fraud was involved, they could even call the cops.
