I am being sued for a paid collection bill... actually, they say it's attorney fee's. The collection agency acknowledges that the bill is paid, but they are trying to sue me for the attorney fee's. I called the court house and they have the papers, but say that it's for the bill. Will I be sued for attorney fee's? Can I fight it, since the bill is paid? PLEASE help with any info possible!! THANKS SOOOOOOOO MUCH!

If t he attorney fee were listed in the contract and they "did use an attorney", than they can collect. If they did not use an attorney and you have paid the bill in full, most likely not. Did you mark the final payment as PAYMENT IN FULL?

No, I didn't write "paid in full" on the check. I did have the account paid 3 weeks before I had received the registered letter. Any suggestions?
