So, I'm going home for christmas and I decided to cut my own hair, which turned out great I have to say, and I dyed it darker, since I couldn't afford to get it done blonde like I usually do. Buuut, it turned way too dark! And I have bangs now, and its just sooo much dark around my face! I want to fix it before I go home for christmas!(which is monday) any suggestions on how to fix it? I was thinking maybe I could try doing my own highlights to lighten it up? I don't know!

How about not doing it on your own again! Go to a professional to get it lightened again, or ask them if highlights will help. If you mess around with hair color again by doing your own highlights, the colors could react and make your hair even worse. Consult an expert on it.
