I have the 5.5hp with electric start... it tries like heck to turn over but won't grab. I am getting spark. I have even taken the plug (which is str8 up) and given a quick shot of carb cleaner and replugged... she fired right up ! So obviously it is not getting fuel (priming makes no difference either) what should be my first attempt ? Thank you in advance for your help !

Well, the first thing would be to remove the main jet and see if cleaning it will suffice. Since it will run and priming has not effect; it seems obvious that the mian jet is plugged(priming forces fuel through that jet and into the venturi.)
