Ok< I posted on here before about depo and pregnancy. Here is my problem. I took 1 depo shot in June of 2009 and never took another one since. I have not had a period since June of 2009 either. So therefore I wouldn't be ovulating right? Well, my husband and I want to try and have a baby so even though I haven't had a period and can't calculate when I'm ovulating if I even am, we are still trying> Sorry for the details but we have been having unprotected sex since the beginning of November 2009. Last night I noticed slight discomfort with my breasts and around the nipple area. We had sex and it was slightly uncomfortable. This morning I wake up and my breasts are still sore, I have a weird kind of tight feeling really low in my stomach. I went to the store and got a first response test and tested right away but it was negative, mind you this was close to 11 am, so not first morning urine. I'm not having a period or spotting or anything so I don't know when I should take the test.. It came with 2 tests, do I test again in the morning? Its now 130 in the afternoon and I still have breast tenderness and the tight feeling in my stomach. I called the Dr. and they say its pointless to test, I can't be pregnant if I'm not having a period. Not a very nice Dr. but the only one really in my area. I just need some answers or guesses or something. Could I be pregnant? I would like to know because I lexapro and clonipin for anxiety and don't know if I should continue or stop or what? Please someone give me any advice or answers or experiences you might have had to give me an idea of what direction to go, thanks!

No one can tell you if you are pregnant or not. If the only dr in your area won't help you, you may need to do a bit of traveling to get to a better dr. it's not impossible for you to be pregnant. But it's also possible you're experiencing pms and your period is about to start. Since you haven't been getting your period, it's hard to say when it would be best for you to test again, since usually you wait until the first day of a missed period. Hard to tell when you've been missing them for months. Anyway, since you are trying to conceive, you should be talking with your dr about everything. They should be helping you try to figure out why you're not getting your period and helping you figure out your prenatal vitamins and if there's any foods you should avoid or consume more of and all that.

I have been talking to them and they say after 1 yr of me being off the depo then they will intervene, so I am pretty much on my own. I don't drink alcohol or smoke and I have been taking a daily multivitamin for years now and I have started taking folic acid just in case, since we are trying to conceive. I know no one on here can tell me if I'm pregnant, I was just hoping maybe someone had experienced this or maybe just had advice. Thank you for your advice. Its not really about traveling for a Dr. its more about which Dr. my insurance will allow and the closest other one is an hour away and I don't really want to go that far since my first 3 pregnancies were high risk and preterm... I need a close Dr. with a close hospital.

It sounds like you're doing everything you can then. I know it's hard, but sometimes you just have to be patient :)

Weird update, first of all the time on my posts are way off, I don't know why, its 515pm right now and the update is my breasts have almost doubled in size today, very painful. Tightness in stomach still and starving but as soon as I eat a few bites, I feel full. Sure feels like pregnancy, since I have had three little boys, but if it isn't I don't know what it could be. I never have had symptoms like this before a period.

Maybe you are pregnant and it's just too early to test. You could try testing again in a week or so.

I think there's a time setting when you go into your profile. You probably just have it set to a different region.

Ok, well today I seem to have more frequent urination, and breasts are still sore. I have an appointment Tuesday at the dr for a blood test, I begged. So we shall see.

Ok,so I had the blood test and got the results, negative... I don't get it, over the last few days my breasts are larger, nipples are darker and way more sensitive. I have sharp pains in my lower abdomen, Im eating weird, like for instance, I never eat breakfast but yesterday I had a whole box of fruit roll ups and half a bag of popcorn... I can't stop eating, everything seems good to eat, before I would get full right away, now I just eat and eat.. Im having nausea and vomiting in the morning, more nausea than actual vomiting, more saliva and frequent urination... can I still be pregnant even though the blood test said no, could it be too early. I just don't get all these symptoms if Im not pregnant. I could see if it was nausea and breast tenderness which mimics pms.. but this has gone way beyond pms I think.

It's unlikely, but certainly not impossible for you to be pregnant. I would still go back to your dr though. If you're not pregnant, and you're not getting your period, but still experiencing abdominal pain and nausea, your dr needs to help you figure out what is causing it.
