Hello,

This is my first time posting, so I hope this is the right place to do so...

Recently I purchased quite an old laptop (Fujitsu Siemens lifebook B2154) this laptop doesn't have a CD Drive, can't boot from a USB and doesn't have a floppy drive.. but it needs an OS to be installed on it.

I am guessing the only option therefore would be to remove the hard drive and try and put an OS on it... how could you do this? Or are there any other solutions you can think of?

Thank you in advance,

Jack

I know there is a way of putting USB drivers and creating an install CD for Windows containing those drivers.

If the drivers are present on the install CD, it should install.

I hope someone can chime in with the method. I looked it up once.

If you're not savvy with computers then you've bought one kind of limits its usefulness to you. Removing a laptop hard drive can be a delicate procedure depending on the laptop construction style. This could be one of those jobs that you may have to find some local help.
