I want to broadcast a podcast of several deceased ministers, died from about 3-15 years. I have the recordings and wanted to know if there were any copyright laws I need to consider before doing so.

If the material IS copyrighted, those rights would have been passed on. If it was me, I'd contact the family of the deceased pastor and inquire about those rights.

You certainly don't want to find out AFTER the fact...

Plus, upon further consideration, the works of these men belong to them (and their heirs) even if the material wasn't copyrighted... So, if you use it in a commercial venture, without permission, you could be sued.
