I am 78 yrs young, but my teeth are 78 yrs old. Am on a fixed income so am having a
Difficult time affording the ridiculous prices dentists charge.
Two yrs ago went to CU School of Dentistry and they charge $5,000 ! I'm on a fixed income.

Hospitals in Ontario do it under OHIP if it is a total mouth extraction. I am assuming you are in the US so ask your doctor if he can advise where to have it done. Either that or get a big bottle of Jim Beam and a good friend and a clean pair of pliers

May I ask why you want to have all your teeth removed? Are there a number of infections? How do you plan to replace the teeth once they are gone?
Tickle - Ontario health plan only covers hospital exractions if the patient is medically compromised. This has been the case for some years as far as I know.

Hi Floss, Good to see you again ! Actually my mom had all her teeth out back in the 50s and OHIP paid for the hospital extractions. No, she wasn't medically compromised.

Thanks Tick,
Back then, they did cover extractions in the hospital. I had my wisdom teeth removed in '79 in the hospital covered by OHIP. I think it was in the 80's sometime that OHIP no longer covers extractions in hospital unless medically compromised.

*thumbs up* I know we are all thankful for whatever coverage we still do have, floss. Merry Christmas to you and yours !
