I am looking for a film title , wacthed it several years ago, Its based I think somewhere in france, in a village set in medieval times.
The opening was the village leaders wife was punished for adultery, she was then raped by most of the men in the village.
This woman had a child which was cast out of the village.
Then 20 years later the village had a visitor, which I was led to believe being the child who was cast out as a baby.But he was back to punish all the wrong doers in the village , weird things happened such as plagues but only the nasty eople in the village fell ill.This visitor turned out to be some kind of mysterious spirrit casting revenge.

I would dearly like to find this movie again, If anyone could tell me the name I would be grateful.

Im sorry to say I don't know any of the actors, producers or the directors names.

All I know is the movie plot.
