View Full Version : Old furnace wiring

OK what I have is from the 50's, I have tested the blower (good) and tested the burner (also good) This unit must have had a 120v thermostat, which I don't have. I'm sure I can find one. Just want to get the wiring straight. This is my thought.
Power in goes to the hi/lo blower control, then to the thermostat, and from there to the blower and the burner. Neutral in just joins the ones from the blower and burner.

There has to be a limit control somehow located to shut off the burner in case the motor fails or you will have a terminal meltdown and associated fire which might burn down your house and kill you in your sleep. BUMMER better add one.
