Hi, I'm in middle school. All right well 8th grade. I really want a boyfriend that goes to my school. (I always get one that goes to a different school). Everyone outside of my school, always talks about how amazing I am? And I think maybe people at my school don't think I'm anything special, because maybe I'm not comfortable at my school? Now first of all, I'm not shy at all, its just like no guys at my school will accept me? They basically all like a few girls. So they all go after them.. and don't realize the other girls around them. Its like 200 boys going after 10 girls. Or at least that's what it seems like. So anyway, do you have any suggestions? Of why I might not be able to get a boyfriend at my own school?plus, its hard for me to act myself, I'm not sure why? And um, when I text guys that go to my school they all seem interested in me. So maybe their nervous like me? Please helppp.

I know you probably don't want to hear this, but you and these boys are all very young yet. You have so much more time in your life to find a boyfriend that is right for you.

Hi happy girl,

Each school has a different spirit, different atmosphere and also different ideas of what girls were considered pretty and who all the guys wanted to date. Between the years of junior high and high school, I switched schools 12 times. At some some schools I was considered pretty and every guy wanted to go out with me and at some schools no guys looked at me at all.

Sounds like at your school, the guys are just kind of immature. Well they are only 14, lol... Guys in junior high do tend to all run after the same girls. That's because they just want those girls because all the other guys want those girls. Which doesn't mean that those girls are better than the others, it just means guys like to jump on the band wagon, that's just the way it happens in junior high.

Good news is that it changes in high school.

Personally, I think when you are in school, long distance is better. That way you can have a boyfriend and still have time for your school work and your friends.

Good Luck
