Hello,

I have a Hunter Fan Model 22788 which is a remote control Fan-Light Assembly. It is in a cathedral ceiling roughly 10-12 feet above the ground. There is two remotes: 1 monunted on the wall and a handheld one. The wall mount was really useless day one the hand held remote will only work if I am on a ladder and close to the receiver.

My dilemma is that I am looking to remove the remote control and wire a wall mount that will control both the fan and the lights. I have a standard 3 wire running to the fan from the outlet. Can I purchase a switch that will control the lights and the Fan?

Thank you

Dean

Depends how many wires come from the fan.

Sounds like something is defective with the receiver or the wiring thereof, if it's only working when the remote is very close.
