I live in Minnesota. Every winter I have the same problem with my electric windows in my 96 two-door Cutlass. They seem to be frozen in the up position 95% of the time. I have tried to put vasaline around the seal this only seemed to work for a day or so, (but maybe only because the weather improved enough for me to get them open in the first place) then they go back to being stuck. Could it be something inside the door panel that gets moisture on it that freezes? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Im sick of having to get out of my car at drive-thru windows and mail boxes.

No-one has answered so I'll tell you what happened with mine...
I have a Miata with power windows and there were 2 problems.
First problem was the wiring under the switch was a little loose so I sometimes had to wobble it to get it to work.

One day it stopped working all together, I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I took the door skin off.. the cable had snapped.
We rigged it up so he window was permanently up until I could get it fixed.

So my suggestion, check the cable in the door. Most skins are easy to remove, they just have clips holding them on.
