Having an issuse with my goodman furnace. Ignitor turns red, flame comes on, and then goes out. Ignitor will head up again, flame on, and then off. THis repeats. I've taking off the sensor and cleaned it to a sparkly new look. Taken the burner housing out and cleaned them individually of all debris. Still the same problem.
Is the ignitor supposed to stay glowing while the flame is burning? Is there any cleaning to the ignitor that needs to be done?
I'm at a bit of a loss here and the temp is down in the low 20's. Getting COLD ON THE BACK END OF THE HOUSE!

Check the status light - blinking indicates trouble. Observe after ignition trial failure. Locate the label with codes & instructions inside blower panel.

Knew to look there. The light indicated no issues

Just because you cleaned the flame sensor does not mean it is all good. Do the test below.

Oh jesus... I think you just asked me to test something with a gadget that I do now own :/

To be in the HVAC trade and work on furnaces you need to spend a lot of money on test equipment. Your complaint about your furnace operation still indicates that the flame sensor is the problem. Now that could be a bad, loose or deteriorated wire that runs from the flame sensor to the control or a bad flame sensor itself. You tried cleaning it so the next step is testing.
