She may have died from rabies--sadly, bat populations are rampantly becoming more and more infected. It probably had nothing to do with the sex (unless it was related by some weird karmic thing) neither do I think she received mortal wounds from the bat attack (unless the thing got her in the jugular vein--I guess that's possible). Must've been rabies.

I just realized this question is in the "movies" category and not a real scenario. Oops.
