I have a 1978 Chevy pick up that won't start when it's freezing out. I replaced the carb and that wasn't it. It will start after a few hours of cranking it. The spark looks a bit weak. It's getting plenty of fuel to the carb, but won't start. Any ideas?

. Remove and fully charge the battery. Clean battery cable connections.
. Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil. Each of these components are relatively inexpensive for your truck.
. Replace the spark plugs (ACDelco only) with the exact ones that came in the truck, if they have not been replaced recently.
. Use SAE 5W-30 full-synthetic engine oil. Engines start much easier with synthetics in cold weather, plus it's easier on the battery and starter motor. Check out the deal on synthetic oil in the link below:
