Do all water haters have a magnesium rod in them

They are called anode rods and every heater has one to protect the tank. They can be either aluminum, or magnesium depending on the mineral content of the water.

This applies to tank type heater, a tankless heater will not have a sacrificial anode or stink rod. Why do you ask?

Last time it snowed in hollywood all the actors were in the street trying to sniff the stuff up their nose.
