Getting this error message " The Lexmark 3300 series printer driver is not installed/ Please reinstall your printer driver." The printer was working just fine until, it suddenly was gone. I tried several time's to reinstall it. It would act like everything was in installed, when in fact it was not. I tried installing the driver and still nothing. There was another error message that said windows could not validate the logo. . Thank you for your help

2nd error message " setup cannot copy the file wavs.exe
ensure that the location specified below is correct, or change it and insert" lexmark inkjet driver install ation disk" in the drive you specify
Copy files from
c:\drivers\printer\3300\common\english

Hi Brad -
It sounds like something corrupted the printer driver and now you cannot re-install it. I've seen this happen occasionally.

You did not specify your version of Windows, so I'll speak in general terms. Basically, we need to uninstall the old, bad driver and the install a fresh, new driver.

Maybe we'll be lucky and we can uninstall the driver the easiest way.


Disconnect the USB Cable (where applicable)
Do Start->Programs->Lexmark 3300 Series->Tools->Uninstall Lexmark 3300 Series as shown below
To start the uninstallation procedure click on the Yes button.
Let the operation complete.
As indicated on the last screen, restart the computer by clicking Ok.


Next, I'd go to support.lexmark.com (http://support.lexmark.com) and download the latest driver for your printer. Then try to install it as directed.

If the procedure above does not work, try going to Windows' Add/Remove facility and remove the Lexmark software from there.

Hopefully, one or the other methods will get you back in business.
